Gira (a portuguese word meaning to change or turn around) is Batuk's third single from their debut album 'Musica da Terra'released on May 27th 2016, on Teka Recordings.

Batuk's latest single, is a hard hitting song of protest, calling for change. Addressing the constant war and fighting in Africa, the song is born of dance floor culture, but not of it's typical hedonistic nature. Gira is a loud call for change from the youth of Africa. There are currently fifteen African countries involved in war, or are experiencing post-war conflict and tension. The statistics are not only shocking/frightening¦ the time has come for CHANGE.

The beautiful music video was submitted to Batuk, by a fan who was touched by the song at a live show, and dug through his trove of documentaries and stock footage to create a powerful montage.

On the EP, the Gira original version is accompanied by two stunning South African house remixes, one by the Ggom stalwarts, Rudeboyz, and another by prolific Johannesburg producer/DJ Eltonnick.
